Bansko Town

Bansko is located at the foot of the Pirin mountains, the pretty town of Bansko has developed into a beloved tourist destination over the last 10 years.

The contemporary town of Bansko is a unique mixture of old traditions and modern style, where newly built hotels and apartments s are separated from more than 100 years old houses by just a tiny, stone-paved street. The town centre is a listed World Heritage Site. The clock tower with it's resident stork's nest has measured the time for just over 150 years.

After an adventurous day Sking, Snowboarding, Walking or Mountain Biking, Bansko visitors can enjoy the local restaurants called the �Mehanas,� most serving traditional Bulgarian cuisine and drinks to seasoned travellers from all over the world, menus offer light snacks, cheese boards and a selection of cured meats. The town square, a popular meeting place for both locals and tourists, is lined with street caf�s serving both imported beers as well as the high quality local brews.
